The California Voter Foundation supports voters and democracy, as we have done for over 30 years!
We are here for all the voters – regular voters, occasional voters, potential voters, future voters – and today we ask you to be there for us by making a donation to support CVF.
- CVF helps voters prepare to vote by providing and promoting public access to nonpartisan election information.
- We help voters feel confident about the security of their ballot by supporting requirements for paper ballots, chain of custody rules and post-election audits.
- We work to make sure voters have equal access to all voting opportunities.
- We want the State of California and federal government to pay their fair share of the costs of running elections.
- We want election officials and their staff to feel safe and supported and keep running elections so we can vote for our future leaders in a free and fair process.
If you support our ongoing efforts, please contribute to the California Voter Foundation! Now more than ever, we must have secure elections conducted under the rule of law and free of intimidation or threats. The alarming rise of political violence in the U.S. is a powerful reminder of why we must stay vigilant, year-round, protecting and supporting the systems that we rely on to keep our democracy strong.
Improving the vote-casting experience and the vote-counting process are a big focus right now for CVF, coming off the 2024 presidential election and experiencing yet another long vote count and a persistent rate of vote-by-mail ballot rejections. CVF’s Close Count Transparency Project helped the public monitor the process and protected local election officials from false fraud claims. CVF is speaking out on these issues and supporting legislation to help voters better deal with ballot mistakes.
We also facilitate and nurture a nationwide learning network, the Election Community Network, now four years in existence, connecting hundreds of election leaders across sectors working to support and protect election officials and election administration.
While CVF is a small non-profit organization, we “punch above our weight" so to speak, making effective, strategic impacts on people and policies at crucial moments. Election security, mis- and disinformation and fair and equal voting access are constantly evolving issues. CVF has a long track record of anticipating where things are headed and helping to move evolving issues in a direction that favors voters and democracy through research, outreach, advocacy, and collaboration.
Please join us in this noble, dedicated and essential work and make a donation to support the California Voter Foundation.
